Today Mone is diving deep into one of the most stylish and deceptively flexible operators to hit the roster: Camille. If you’ve been lucky enough to pull him from the new banner, you might be wondering how to build him properly.
Let’s break down everything you need to know: skills, talents, weapons, gear, teams.
Camille at a Glance

Rarity: 6★ |
Weapon: Polearm |

Class: Vanguard |
Main Attribute: Agility |

Element: Heat |
Sub Attribute: Intellect |

Role: Heat enabler, SP battery, buffer/debuffer, Sub DPS |

Camille is not your typical DPS. His kit revolves around applying Heat Infliction, debuffing enemies with Heat Susceptibility, and generating SP for both himself and his team. He also provides the rare Link buff, which directly amplifies the damage of certain carries like Laevatain and Rossi. While his personal multipliers aren’t sky-high, he brings so much rotational smoothness and team damage amplification that he earns a spot in almost any Heat-centric or hybrid Arts squad.
Skill Leveling Priority
If you’re short on resources, here’s the order you should upgrade:
Ultimate: Sanguine Downpour
This is his biggest powerspike. It covers a huge area, applies Heat Infliction, restores a chunk of SP, and transforms his Battle Skill into the devastating Hunter Pursuit. Level this first for the damage and SP recovery boosts.

Battle Skill : Blazing Exorcism
Summons the Firefang Vesperwings that are central to his entire kit. They apply Heat Infliction (to trigger his Combo), plus Weakness and Heat Susceptibility. Higher ranks increase the debuff percentages, so push this to max as soon as you can.

Combo Skill : Heartstake Thorn
Triggers automatically whenever an enemy’s Heat Infliction is consumed or absorbed. It deals damage and gives SP. Upgrading it improves the SP recovery and the damage of both the regular version and the enhanced Hunter Pursuit. Still important, but you can leave it one step behind the Ultimate and Battle Skill.

Basic Attack : Sanguine Absolution
Filler damage and some finisher SP recovery. Level this last when you have nothing else to work on.

Recommended target ranks: Ultimate → Rank 12, Battle Skill → Rank 12, Combo Skill → Rank 10+, Basic Attack → Rank 9.
Talent Unlock Priority:
Hunter of Transgression first, it gives you the healing when hitting enemies marked by Firefang Vesperwings, and more importantly, it applies the Link buff. You need this to fuel his second talent and to buff your main carry.
Bloodfount Revival right after, it stacks a Heat DMG buff whenever Camille heals via a skill (including the healing from the first talent). Max stacks give him up to +20% Heat DMG (without potentials) and a quarter of that for the team. This is a massive party-wide amp.

Best-in-Slot: Blessing of Lustrous Carmine
Max level data
Base ATK: 500
Ultimate Gain Efficiency: 50.4%
Effect: When Camille’s skill recovers SP, the whole team gets ATK +16.8% for 20s. When his skill applies Heat Infliction, the team gets Heat DMG Dealt +16.8% for 20s.
This polearm was basically tailor-made for him. Every part of his rotation triggers both buffs, and the extra Ultimate Gain keeps his Sanguine Downpour coming back faster. If you have it, use it.
Best Alternative: Beacon of Duty
Max level data
Base ATK: 485
Heat DMG Bonus: +19.6%
Effect: Applying Heat Infliction gives Camille Physical and Heat DMG +22。4% for 20s. Applying Heat Susceptibility gives the whole team Physical and Heat DMG +11.2% for 30s.
Obtainable from the Protocol Pass, this weapon is incredible for mixed-damage teams. The team buff from Heat Susceptibility lines up perfectly with his Blazing Exorcism. No Ultimate Gain built-in, so you’ll need to compensate with gear.
F2P Alternative: JET
Max level data
Base ATK: 500
ATK Bonus: +39%
Effect: Arts DMG Dealt +33.6%. When the wielder casts a Battle Skill, they gain Arts DMG Dealt +33.6% for 15s. When the wielder casts a Combo Skill, they gain Arts DMG Dealt +33.6% for 15s. The two effects apply separately and do not stack with themselves.
Focuses purely on boosting Camille’s personal Arts DMG after using Battle and Combo Skills. It turns him into a much more selfish damage dealer. Use it if you lack the other two and want his personal numbers to shine, but you’ll miss out on team support.
Gear Sets

Kit 1: Frontiers Extra O2 Tube T1
Kit 2: Redeemer Seal (off-piece for huge Intellect and Ultimate Gain Efficiency)

The Frontiers set is king for support Camille. His Combo Skill, Ultimate, and Hunter Pursuit all recover SP, constantly refreshing the team DMG buff. The cooldown reduction lets him re-apply debuffs and generate Link more frequently. Redeemer Seal fills the gap in Ultimate Gain and buffs Intellect for his self-healing.
Alternative DPS-oriented Build
Type 50 Yinglung, the sets focus on ATK and boosting Combo/Ultimate damage after using Battle Skill.Use this when you want Camille to contribute more direct damage himself, especially in teams where the carry doesn’t need as much hand-holding.

Team Compositions
Premium Heat Engine:
|
Laevatain |
Wulfgard |
Camille |
Ardelia / Gilberta |
Laevatain is the main DPS, and this team exists to make her pop off. Wulfgard provides additional Heat Infliction and forced Combustion, while Camille keeps Heat Susceptibility rolling and his Combo Skill (triggered by consuming Inflictions) grants Link. Ardelia brings Corrosion and extra Susceptibility, plus healing.
Hybrid Arts Domination:
|
Rossi |
Camille |
Mi Fu |
Pogranichnik |
Rossi thrives on Vulnerability stacks and Arts reactions. Camille feeds her Heat Infliction and Susceptibility, while Mi Fu converts stacked Vulnerability into massive Crush damage. Pogranichnik adds grouping and SP recovery. Camille’s Link may not be fully utilized by Rossi’s Ultimate, but the constant debuff maintenance and additional personal damage make him the glue that holds the whole reaction chain together.
You can also slot Camille into any team that can reliably trigger his Combo Skill. That flexibility means he can sometimes sit in freeze or shock setups if you’re creative.
Potential Recommendations
P1 (Flame-Anointed Lance): Gives an extra 5% Weakness and Heat Susceptibility on his Battle Skill and extends Vesperwing hover duration. A very strong support spike and an excellent stopping point.
P3 (Thorned Incapacitor): Reduces Combo Skill cooldown by 2s and multiplies the damage and SP recovery of both Heartstake Thorn and Hunter Pursuit by 1.3× and 1.15× respectively. This is his luxury powerspike that lets him print SP and buffs.
P5 is nice for capping his Talent’s team Heat DMG buff, but it’s whale territory.
Unless you’re heavily investing, P1 is the sweet spot, with P3 being the dream for dedicated mains.
Summary

Camille is a brilliantly designed Vanguard who elevates Heat teams to an entirely new level. His core value lies in the seamless Heat Infliction flow, devastating Link buffs, and relentless SP recovery that turns your main DPS into monsters.
If you’re looking to add Camille to your squad or chase his Potential upgrades, you’ll want a reliable source of Origeometry without breaking the bank.
