Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.5 is bringing two familiar faces back as completely different playable units.
Robin • Summeretto and Aventurine • Waveflair are expected to headline the HSR 4.5 banners, but these are not simply summer-themed skins. Robin moves away from her original Harmony identity and becomes a 5-star Wind Remembrance character, while Aventurine trades his Preservation sustain role for a 5-star Quantum Elation damage dealer.
If you're already deciding where to spend your Stellar Jade, here's what the current Version 4.5 information tells us about both characters, their expected teams, and which banner may offer more value for your account.
HSR 4.5 Banner Release Date
The HSR 4.4 banners are expected to end on August 24, 2026. Version 4.5 is then expected to launch on August 25, 2026 for the NA server.
HSR 4.5 Banner Overview
The current expected banner lineup looks like this:
|
Phase |
New Character |
|
Phase 1 |
Robin • Summeretto |
|
Phase 2 |
Aventurine • Waveflair |
Robin • Summeretto is expected to arrive in the first half of Version 4.5, followed by Aventurine • Waveflair in the second half.
Both characters completely change the combat identities of their original versions. That makes Version 4.5 less about alternate appearances and more about choosing between a potentially important Remembrance support and an offensive Elation character built around follow-up damage.
Phase 1: Robin • Summeretto

Role: Support / Buffer | Element: Wind | Path: Remembrance
Robin • Summeretto may look ready for a vacation, but her current kit information suggests a surprisingly active playstyle for a support character.
Her gameplay revolves around a special resource called Vibes and three summoned companions known as the Summer Songbirds. Actions performed by Robin's teammates, including attacks, healing, and shielding, can help her accumulate Vibes.
As this resource builds, Robin gradually brings her Songbirds onto the field. Once all three are active, she enters a special Fever state.
Phase 2: Aventurine • Waveflair

Role: DPS / Sub-DPS | Element: Quantum | Path: Elation
Forget almost everything the original Aventurine taught you about his role.
Aventurine • Waveflair is no longer primarily a shielder. This version moves to the Elation Path and focuses much more heavily on dealing damage.
Based on current kit information, his gameplay revolves around two resources: Fervor and the team's shared Punchline resource.
Both his Skill and Ultimate can generate these resources, while attacks performed by his teammates help advance his rotation.
Pulling Priority
For overall account value, Robin Summeretto currently has the edge over Aventurine Waveflair.
Robin appears capable of addressing a clear gap in existing Remembrance teams by providing a dedicated premium amplifier with powerful action and Energy manipulation.
Aventurine Waveflair may offer excellent personal damage, but his value appears to depend more heavily on already having the right teammates and a separate sustain option.
Prepare Your Stellar Jade for HSR 4.5
With two completely new versions of popular characters arriving back to back, Version 4.5 could be expensive for players who want both.
Before pulling, decide which of your teams actually needs the bigger upgrade.
If Robin is the missing support that completes your Castorice team, there is little reason to spend all your resources on another DPS first. On the other hand, players with a well-developed Follow-up Attack roster may get more immediate value from Aventurine Waveflair.
If your Stellar Jade savings fall short of your pull target, you can also check Honkai: Star Rail top-up options on Mone and prepare extra Oneiric Shards before your preferred banner arrives.
Plan first, pull second, especially if you're aiming for both a character and their signature Light Cone.
HSR 4.5 Banner FAQ
Who are the new characters in HSR 4.5?
The two new 5-star characters currently expected for Version 4.5 are Robin • Summeretto, a Wind Remembrance character, and Aventurine • Waveflair, a Quantum Elation character.
Is Robin Summeretto just a Robin skin?
No. Robin Summeretto is a separate playable character with a different Path and combat kit from the original Harmony Robin.
Is Aventurine Waveflair still a shielder?
His new version is expected to focus on offensive Elation damage rather than the Preservation shielding role of the original Aventurine. You should plan to bring another sustain character if his final kit does not provide reliable team protection.
Who is better, Robin Summeretto or Aventurine Waveflair?
Robin Summeretto currently appears more valuable for players building Remembrance teams, particularly Castorice teams. Aventurine Waveflair looks better suited to players who already have a strong Follow-up Attack roster and want additional damage.
Are the HSR 4.5 rerun banners confirmed?
No. Current information about Version 4.5 reruns is inconsistent, so it is better to wait for the official Special Program or banner announcement before spending resources based on rerun rumors.
