Not every PUBG Mobile map is equally friendly when you are trying to climb the ranks. Some give you plenty of room to loot and rotate safely, while others throw you into fights almost immediately.
In this guide, we rank the current Classic maps by rank-push consistency, focusing on survival, fight frequency, rotations, match pace and how much control each map gives you over unnecessary risks.

S Tier
Erangel — Best Overall for Consistent Rank Push

Erangel is still our safest all-around recommendation for players who value steady placement over constant fighting.
Its 8×8 km size gives you far more freedom when choosing a landing spot. Instead of contesting major locations, you can drop near smaller compounds, finish your early loot and secure a vehicle before making your first rotation.
That extra space also makes it easier to disengage from unnecessary fights. On smaller maps, avoiding one squad often means running directly into another. Erangel gives you more room to choose when an engagement is actually worth taking.
The map is also extremely familiar to longtime players. Common routes around Pochinki, Rozhok, School and Sosnovka Military Base are easier to read once you have enough experience.
Erangel can still punish late rotations, especially around bridges and open fields, but it gives players more control over how each match develops.
Best for: Safe, consistent rank pushing.
Livik — Best for Fast Rank Push

Livik earns S Tier for a different reason: speed.
At only 2×2 km, Livik was designed around much shorter Battle Royale matches than full-size maps such as Erangel or Miramar. If you regularly survive into the late game, that means you can complete more matches during the same play session.
That makes Livik particularly attractive for players who have limited time to grind.
The downside is higher encounter pressure. Because the map is so compact, nearby squads are much harder to avoid, and gunfights can quickly attract third parties.
Livik also features Recall Towers in Duo and Squad matches, giving teams another chance to recover from an early elimination under the appropriate conditions.
Put simply, Erangel is better for a safer climb, while Livik is better for a faster one.
A Tier
Miramar — Great for Patient Players

Miramar is an excellent rank-push map if you are comfortable planning rotations early.
Its large size gives players plenty of quieter landing options, while the desert terrain and long sightlines often let you spot enemies before committing to a fight.
The biggest challenge is movement.
Hills, ridges and large open areas can turn a late or poorly planned rotation into a disaster. Losing your vehicle at the wrong time is especially dangerous.
For players who understand terrain, vehicles and circle timing, Miramar can be one of the most reliable maps for reaching the late game. Less experienced rotators may find it much less forgiving.
Best for: Patient players with strong rotation knowledge.
Rondo — Better the More You Know It

Rondo is another 8×8 km battleground with plenty of space for safer drops and slower early games.
Its mixture of large cities, open terrain, lakes and other natural areas gives players many different ways to approach each circle. That flexibility is useful for rank pushing because you do not always have to force your way through one obvious route.
The drawback is the learning curve.
Rondo has more complex urban areas and a wider variety of terrain than many older maps. If you do not know the common rotations and dangerous areas yet, it is easy to move into a bad position without realizing it.
Once you learn the map, however, Rondo becomes a very strong choice for consistent placement.
B Tier
Vikendi — Balanced but Less Reliable Late Game

Vikendi's 6×6 km size puts it between PUBG Mobile's largest battlegrounds and its compact maps.
There is enough space to avoid nonstop fighting early on, while rotations generally feel shorter than on Erangel or Miramar.
The main problem comes as the circle closes.
Teams often become concentrated around compounds, ridgelines and other strong positions, meaning a quiet match can suddenly turn into several back-to-back engagements.
Vikendi is still perfectly viable for ranking, but it lacks Erangel's freedom and Livik's clear time-efficiency advantage.
C Tier
Sanhok — Great for Fighting, Riskier for Ranking

Sanhok's 4×4 km battlefield naturally creates more frequent encounters.
Dense vegetation and jungle terrain also make enemies harder to spot before they get close. You can rotate through what looks like an empty area and suddenly find another squad only a short distance away.
The compact map also makes third parties more common. Winning one fight does not always give you much time to reset before someone else arrives.
Aggressive players with strong close- and mid-range mechanics can perform extremely well here. For players who simply want stable placement every match, however, Sanhok is much less predictable than the larger maps.
Nusa — Fast but Highly Volatile

Nusa pushes fast-paced Battle Royale even further.
The map is only 1×1 km, and matches can end in around eight minutes. It also includes a Special Recall mechanic that can give players a second chance after an early elimination when its conditions are met.
Despite that safety net, Nusa remains extremely volatile.
The small battlefield means opponents are almost always nearby, leaving very little room to completely avoid fights through positioning alone.
It is excellent if you want short matches. For consistent rank gains, however, the higher risk of early elimination keeps it in C Tier.
D Tier
Karakin — Hardest for Safe Rank Push

Karakin is the least attractive option on this list if your priority is protecting rank points.
The map is small, supports fewer players than the biggest battlegrounds, and includes mechanics such as Thin Wall Bullet Penetration, Sticky Bombs and the Demolition Zone.
These mechanics make defensive positions less reliable. Staying inside a building does not always guarantee safety, while the compact map gives you fewer opportunities to completely disengage from nearby enemies.
Karakin is excellent for fast, aggressive matches. That same chaos makes it difficult to recommend for players who want a controlled and consistent climb.
Conclusion
There is no single PUBG Mobile map that works best for every player, but Erangel is the safest overall choice for consistent rank pushing, while Livik stands out when speed matters more. Miramar and Rondo reward stronger map knowledge, while the smaller maps generally trade stability for faster action.
Whichever map you prefer, a good rank push is ultimately about taking the right fights rather than every fight.
