Wuthering Waves 3.7 brings several new Sonata Effects and Echoes built heavily around Electro Flare, Unison, and Unison Response, giving Hsin, Suoming, and Electro-focused teams more build options to work with. Heart of Sworn Vigil focuses on personal Electro damage, Flash of Electric Reflection turns Electro Flare users into stronger supports, while Flower of Tinged Yearning points toward a future Unison healer.
But not every new set is automatically an upgrade. In this guide, we'll break down who should use each Sonata Effect, which new Echoes are worth placing in the Main Echo slot, and where the new options actually fit into current team rotations.
New Sonata Effect
Heart of Sworn Vigil
2-Pc: Electro DMG + 10% |
5-Pc: Inflicting Electro Flare on the target, obtaining Unison, or triggering Unison Response increases the Resonator's Crit. Rate by 15% and grants them 22.5% Electro DMG for 30s. |

For Hsin, this is almost tailor-made for her kit. Her two major team directions are built around Electro Flare and Unison, so she can activate the set naturally regardless of which archetype she is played in. More importantly, both bonuses directly improve her personal damage: CRIT Rate eases her stat requirements, while the Electro DMG Bonus applies throughout her main damage window. Current Hsin team data also points toward Electro Rover for her Electro Flare route and Suoming for her Unison route, meaning Heart remains useful without forcing her into one specific composition.
Suoming is the other obvious user. Her rotation naturally involves gaining and consuming Unison, so she does not need to rely on Electro Flare to keep Heart active. The 30-second duration is also generous enough to cover her normal damage sequence without awkward setup. Since Suoming still contributes meaningful personal Electro damage even when supporting Hsin, Heart is a much better general-purpose option for her than sacrificing her own damage purely for a swap-out buff. Current Suoming build data likewise identifies Heart of Sworn Vigil as her strongest all-around set.
Flash of Electric Reflection
2-Pc: Electro DMG + 10% |
5-Pc: When the Resonator inflicts Electro Flare on enemies, they gain the following effects: Gain 10% Electro DMG Bonus for 15s. While this effect is active, casting Outro Skill grants the incoming Resonator 25% Electro DMG Bonus for 15s. |

Special Option |
Rover: Electro |
Buling |
Rover can reliably apply Electro Flare, already fits naturally into Hsin's Electro Flare teams, and normally wants to complete a relatively short setup before handing the field back to Hsin. Flash therefore rewards exactly what Rover is already doing:
apply Electro Flare → finish Rover's rotation → Outro → bring Hsin in with 25% Electro DMG Bonus.
Rather than trying to maximize Rover's own field time, the set converts Rover's Electro Flare application into additional damage for the team's main Electro carry. This is why current 3.7 analysis consistently identifies Electro Rover as the most straightforward Flash user.
Buling is the more situational option. She is a healer, but importantly, her kit can also apply Electro Flare, so she is capable of activating. Her healing and existing support effects also make her a practical budget sustain for Hsin's Electro Flare teams.
Flower of Tinged Yearning
2-Pc: Healing + 10% |
5-Pc: Healing a Resonator in the team increases the ATK of all Resonators in the team by 10% for 30s. Effects of the same name cannot be stacked. While the effect is active, if the Resonator gains Unison or triggers Unison Response, their ATK is further increased by 15%. |
Shorekeeper and Verina can technically use Flower, because both can easily activate the healing requirement. The problem is that they currently do not have their own Unison interaction, so they cannot access the part of the set that actually distinguishes Flower from existing healer sets.
For current conventional healers, switching from Rejuvenating Glow to Flower is effectively a downgrade if they cannot activate Flower's Unison condition.
Its real purpose becomes much clearer when looking ahead: Flower appears designed for a future healer/support who can both heal and personally gain Unison or trigger Unison Response.
New Echo
Phantom: Skywatch Lancer
Flash of Electric Reflection |
Heart of Sworn Vigil |
Cast Echo Skill to deal 4 instances of 27.36% Electro DMG and 1 instance of 164.16% Electro DMG. |
Phantom: Skywatch Lancer is clearly designed around Hsin. She gets a unique, stronger version of its Echo Skill, while its main-slot effect provides Electro DMG and another bonus after triggering Electro Flare, Unison, or Unison Response. Suoming can also activate the Unison condition, but Hsin gains the most complete benefit from it.
Skywatch Lancer
Flash of Electric Reflection |
Flower of Tinged Yearning |
Summon a Skywatch Lancer to attack the target, dealing 32.09% Aero DMG 6 times. |
Regular Skywatch Lancer only deals Aero DMG and provides no additional main-slot buff, making it relatively weak as a dedicated Main Echo. Buling can technically use it with Flash, while Flower users can equip it as well, but Soulfrayer and Formrender offer much more useful support effects for those roles.
Soulfrayer
Flash of Electric Reflection |
Heart of Sworn Vigil |
Use Echo Skill to summon a Soulfrayer, dealing 91.18% Electro DMG 3 times. |
Soulfrayer is ideal for Electro supports that hand the field to another Electro DPS. After using it, an Outro within 15 seconds grants the incoming Resonator 12% Electro DMG Bonus, perfectly matching Electro Rover’s rotation into Hsin. Buling can use the same setup in Electro Flare teams, while support-oriented Suoming can also benefit.
Formrender
Flower of Tinged Yearnin |
Heart of Sworn Vigil |
Use Echo Skill to summon a Formrender, dealing 273.60% Fusion DMG. |
Formrender gives the equipped Resonator 10% Energy Regen, making it most useful for support characters whose rotations depend heavily on Resonance Liberation. Shorekeeper and Verina can benefit if temporarily using Flower of Tinged Yearning.
Jade Nether Serpent
Summon a Jade Nether Serpent that bombards the target with fireballs, dealing 12.96% Fusion DMG 5 times, then 64.80% Fusion DMG once. |
Heart of Sworn Vigil |
Bloomburst Puppet
Summon a Bloomburst Puppet to startle the target, dealing 1 instance of 25.92% Glacio DMG, followed by 2 instances of 12.96% Glacio DMG and 1 instance of 77.76% Glacio DMG. |
Heart of Sworn Vigil |
Conclusion
Wuthering Waves 3.7 adds more specialized build options, especially for teams built around Electro Flare and Unison. The key is choosing the set and Main Echo that actually match each character’s role instead of treating every new option as a direct upgrade.
