Whiteout Survival's Mid-Autumn celebration, officially framed as the "Moonlight Festival," goes live on September 21, 2026 at 00:00 UTC and runs through September 27, 2026 at 23:59 UTC. It's built around one core loop — earning and spending a festival currency — with six smaller events layered on top, plus a one-time redemption code. Here's how the pieces fit together and what's worth prioritizing.

Mysteries of Numbers: How It Works

This is the event to focus on first, since it's the only source of Plenilune Badges, the currency used in the festival shop.
Each round starts with a 5x5 grid holding 25 numbers pulled at random from 1 to 50. Using a Lantern of Blessings draws one number from that pool — no repeats within a round — and lights up its tile on the grid. Lighting an entire row or column earns a Path Reward, and collecting three Path Rewards in a round unlocks that round's Grand Prize.
Lanterns of Blessings themselves come from completing event missions, not from the shop, so the practical limit on how many rounds you can run is how many missions you clear. Any Lanterns left unused when the event ends are automatically converted into a 10,000 Secured Resource Supply Chest, so there's no reason to sit on them.

Moonlit Market: Where the Badges Go

Plenilune Badges earned from Mysteries of Numbers are spent in the Moonlit Market, the festival's exchange shop. The shop itself runs from September 21 through September 28 UTC — one day past the rest of the event — which is worth noting since it's easy to assume everything closes at the same time. Spend down your badge stock before that final cutoff; unspent badges convert to a comparatively small Meat payout rather than staying available.
The Smaller Side Events
The remaining five activities run on their own tracks and don't feed into the Moonlit Market currency:
Moonlight Brilliance is a lighter, more decorative event centered on festival lanterns, running the standard September 21–27 window.

Moon Chief is framed as a community celebration activity for the same period, with less mechanical depth than the mission-based events.

Symphony of Radiance works like a mission bingo board: clearing designated missions fills in a grid, completing a full row or column earns a phase chest, and finishing every mission unlocks the Lunar Legacy item. Any rewards left unclaimed when the event ends get mailed to you automatically, so there's no risk of losing progress by running out of time — just of missing the deadline to claim in-app.

Pot of Fortune is the festival's arcade-style minigame: a traveling merchant challenges players to toss arrows into a pot, scoring points that unlock tiered rewards. It's a nice change of pace from the mission-clearing structure of the rest of the event.

Top-up Benefits rewards accumulated Top-Up Points earned from purchases made during the event window, on the usual September 21–27 schedule.

A separate Moonlit Paradise Decoration Pack is also available, but on a tighter window — September 22 through September 26 UTC — so it's worth checking in-game a day after the main event starts.

Practical Tips
Clear event missions early rather than saving them — missions are the only source of Lanterns of Blessings, and the earlier you accumulate them, the more Mysteries of Numbers rounds you can run before the event closes. Check the Moonlit Market shop contents as soon as it opens too, since reward items can vary by server progress, and knowing what's on offer early helps you decide whether to save badges for a specific item or spend as you go.
FAQ
When does the Whiteout Survival Moonlight Festival end?
Most of the event closes September 27, 2026 at 23:59 UTC, but the Moonlit Market redemption shop stays open until September 28, 23:59 UTC — spend leftover badges before then.
What happens to unused Lanterns of Blessings and Plenilune Badges?
Both convert automatically at the event's end: Lanterns become a 10,000 Secured Resource Supply Chest, and Badges become 1,000 Secured Meat. Neither is lost, but the conversion rate is worse than using them directly.
Is there a gift code for this event?
Yes — WOS0919, redeemable through the official Gift Code Center. It requires Furnace Level 9 or higher and expires September 21, 2026 at 23:59 UTC, so it's worth redeeming immediately rather than saving it.
Do all the sub-events use the same currency?
No. Only Mysteries of Numbers feeds Plenilune Badges into the Moonlit Market. Symphony of Radiance, Pot of Fortune, and Top-up Benefits each run their own independent reward tracks.
